Razek later faced accusations of fostering a misogynistic work environment and ultimately stepped down. The 2024 show signaled a shift for the brand, aiming to re-establish its cultural relevance and address past criticisms.
Missy Elliott also took the stage, performing a medley of her hits including “One Minute Man,” “Get Ur Freak on” (recently named the greatest song of the 21st century so far by Rolling Stone), “Work It,” and ”Lose Control.”
