Bilt Rewards to Launch Mortgage Points Program with United Wholesale Mortgage in 2026
bilt Rewards, a rewards platform allowing members to earn points on rent payments, is expanding into the homeownership market with a partnership with United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM). Beginning in 2026, Bilt members will be able to earn rewards points on their mortgage payments, a first-of-its-kind offering in the industry.
The collaboration aims to make homeownership more accessible and rewarding, particularly for younger generations burdened by student loan debt and rising housing costs. Bilt launched a program last year enabling users to earn points when purchasing a home and introduced a search tool allowing prospective buyers to filter homes by monthly budget. This new mortgage rewards program builds on those efforts, offering a pathway to accumulate points on an ongoing basis after purchase. Members can currently redeem points toward student loan payments, with 1,000 points equating to $10 in payments through servicers like Nelnet, Mohela, Sallie Mae, Aidvantage and Navient.
Bilt also allows members to earn points on student housing payments through its partnership with american Campus Communities (ACC), simultaneously building credit history. The company’s broader strategy focuses on integrating financial wellness into everyday expenses, and the UWM partnership represents a meaningful step toward extending that model to the largest expense for many households: their mortgage.
