Troy Men’s Golf Splits Squads,Competes at Everett Buick GMC Classic and Turtle Point Invite
LITTLE ROCK,Ark. – The Troy Trojans men’s golf team is actively competing across two tournaments, the Everett Buick GMC Classic in Little Rock, Arkansas, and the Turtle Point Invite, with results from the first day of play now available. At the Everett Buick GMC Classic, Troy concluded the first two rounds in 15th place among 16 teams with a team score of 598. Simultaneously occurring, individual Trojans are making strides at the Turtle Point invite.
The Trojans’ performance in Little Rock has been led by Pablo Gracia, who sits at 22nd with a two-round total of 142 (74-68). Lee Poppell is currently 50th at 147 (65-82), followed by a tie for 75th between Thomas Crane and Landon noble, both carding 152 (77-75 and 75-77 respectively).Grant yerger rounds out the Troy contingent in 78th place with a score of 153 (74-79). The Everett Buick GMC classic continues tomorrow, with Troy looking to climb the leaderboard.
At the Turtle Point Invite, Lawton Emblom is tied for 12th place after shooting 141 (71-70) over two rounds. Pierce Becker is tied for 30th at 145 (69-76),and Haston Emblom is tied for 41st with a score of 147 (73-74).These tournaments represent key opportunities for the Trojans to gain competitive experiance and refine their game ahead of the upcoming spring season.
