Bourg-en-Bresse, France – “So happy to be in Bourg-en-Bresse, my favourite city in France!” exclaimed actor Kev Adams during a special preview screening of his new film, D-Day, at the L’Amphi cinema on Sunday, October 12th. The event marked the penultimate stop on a promotional tour for the comedy, which is set to release in theaters next Wednesday.
The screening drew a crowd of approximately 250 enthusiastic fans of all ages, eager to catch a first look at the film.Adams was joined by director Claude Zidi Jr., and fellow cast members Jonathan Lambert, Brahim Bouhlel, and marie Parisot.
D-Day centers around a humorous premise: two soldiers who inadvertently arrive on the wrong day for the D-Day landings. Director Zidi Jr. described the film as “a film for the whole family,” adding, “I wanted to surf on the great French comedies like The Big Mop or the 7th Company.” He engaged with the audience following the screening in a lively question-and-answer session.
Filming for D-Day took place in Normandy, including a key scene shot on Omaha Beach, and also in the Burgundy region, where the cast stopped before arriving in Bourg-en-Bresse. Adams concluded the event by stating, ”This is our last day on tour. We took this film everywhere and we hope that you will bring it to life by talking about it to those around you.”
