Ducati Unleashes 2025 Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2: Lightweight Performance Redefined
Ducati has announced the arrival of the 2025 panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 models, bringing advanced technology and a focus on lightweight performance to the mid-range sportbike segment. Both motorcycles are powered by a 955cc Superquadro twin-cylinder engine delivering a maximum of 120 HP, paired with impressively low weights of 176 kg (Panigale V2) and 175 kg (Streetfighter V2), resulting in a superior power-to-weight ratio. Riders can select from three power modes: High (120 HP), Medium, and low (95 HP).
Chassis & suspension: Track-Inspired engineering
Both models utilize a lightweight monocoque frame, incorporating the engine as a stressed member. The design features a symmetrical two-arm swingarm inspired by the Panigale V4’s hollow, symmetrical fork, aiming to enhance stability during corner exits and provide a refined track experience. Suspension components vary between standard and “S” versions. The panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with Marzocchi forks and Kayaba shocks, while the “S” variants boast Öhlins forks and shocks, alongside a weight-saving lithium-ion battery.
The Streetfighter V2 distinguishes itself with a swingarm 30mm longer than the Panigale V2, coupled with a standard Sachs steering damper, to improve stability, particularly when riding without a fairing.both bikes ride on new cast wheels fitted with Pirelli Diablo rosso IV tires (120/70 front, 190/55 rear). Braking power comes from a Brembo system featuring dual 320mm front discs and M50 monobloc calipers, offering both track-ready performance and road-going modulation.
Advanced Electronics for Control and Safety
Ducati has equipped both the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 with a six-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) that underpins a complete electronic package. Standard features include Cornering ABS with slip-brake function, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and the Ducati Speedy Shift 2.0 system – the same technology found in the Panigale V4. The “S” versions add Ducati Power Launch and Pit Limiter as standard equipment.
Riders can tailor the motorcycle’s behavior through four riding modes – Race, Sport, Road, and Wet – each offering pre-set levels of intervention for all controls and engine response. These settings are also user-adjustable, allowing for personalized customization.
Instrumentation & Display
A renewed 5″ TFT color screen displays details via a user interface based on Infomode, conceptually derived from the Panigale V4. Three distinct views – Road,Road Pro,and Track – prioritize relevant data for each riding context. The interface has been refined to maximize information clarity and reduce density, with the tachometer also functioning as a gear change indicator, illuminating green for optimal upshifts and red for over-revving.
