Vegas Golden Knights Dorofeyev Injury Update Ahead of Kings Game

GoldenKnights‘ Dorofeyev⁢ a Game-Time Decision for Season Opener Against kings

LAS VEGAS – Golden Knights forward Pavel dorofeyev is considered a game-time decision for wednesday’s season opener ⁢against the Los Angeles Kings, ⁢head⁤ coach Bruce cassidy told reporters Tuesday. Dorofeyev’s status remains uncertain as⁤ he continues to recover from an injury.

Dorofeyev has been limited in preseason action, playing only four shifts totaling 4:07 of ice time in ⁣a 3-1 loss to the ⁤Kings on September 23rd. He has been day-to-day since then.

The forward⁢ is ⁤coming off a breakout 2024-25 season,leading the Golden​ Knights with 35 goals and totaling ⁢52 ⁣points in 82 games. he also ⁤contributed one goal and one assist ‌in eight playoff games.

Dorofeyev is in ‌the final year of a two-year contract​ with a $1.835 ⁣million cap hit and is slated to ⁤become a​ restricted free agent with arbitration rights following the season. AFP Analytics projects his next ⁣contract‍ to be around $7.25 million per year for⁤ five years.

The Golden Knights and Kings face ⁣off at 7 p.m. PST on Wednesday.
