Golden Knights‘ Dorofeyev a Game-Time Decision for Season Opener Against kings
LAS VEGAS – Golden Knights forward Pavel dorofeyev is considered a game-time decision for wednesday’s season opener against the Los Angeles Kings, head coach Bruce cassidy told reporters Tuesday. Dorofeyev’s status remains uncertain as he continues to recover from an injury.
Dorofeyev has been limited in preseason action, playing only four shifts totaling 4:07 of ice time in a 3-1 loss to the Kings on September 23rd. He has been day-to-day since then.
The forward is coming off a breakout 2024-25 season,leading the Golden Knights with 35 goals and totaling 52 points in 82 games. he also contributed one goal and one assist in eight playoff games.
Dorofeyev is in the final year of a two-year contract with a $1.835 million cap hit and is slated to become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights following the season. AFP Analytics projects his next contract to be around $7.25 million per year for five years.
The Golden Knights and Kings face off at 7 p.m. PST on Wednesday.
