Local Students Invited to showcase Art at OhioHealth Mansfield hospital
Mansfield, OH – Young artists in north central Ohio are being called upon to contribute their creativity to brighten the lives of patients at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.The hospital has launched an art contest, themed ”What Does Healthy Mean to You?”, inviting students in grades K-12 to submit artwork for display in the Pediatric 4NT Unit.
The contest aims to engage the community adn create a more welcoming environment for young patients and their families. Selected artwork will not only decorate the pediatric unit but also be celebrated at a special open house on November 13, featuring remarks from Martin Hanawalt, MD, medical director of Mansfield Hospital’s Pediatric Hospitalist Program.
“Community engagement through events like these is vital,” said Libby Daniels, M.Ed, BSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer at Mansfield Hospital.”It not only enriches our environment but also fosters a sense of belonging and support among our patients and their families.”
Contest details:
* Eligibility: Students in grades K-12
* Entry Limit: One submission per student
* Art Medium: Artwork must be created on paper or canvas. Submissions will be digitally photographed and resized for display.
* Submission Deadline: November 5
* Drop-off Location: Mansfield Hospital front desk
