Sky Acquires Elizabeth Banks & Matthew Macfadyen Comedy; Incredible Film Seals UK/Ireland Distribution Deal
Sky has secured the rights to The Miniature Wife, a U.S. comedy-drama starring Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen, slated to air on Sky and NOW in 2026. The series centers on a couple navigating a hilariously elaborate marriage after a technological mishap unexpectedly shrinks Elizabeth Banks’ character, leading to a power struggle with her husband, played by Macfadyen. The show is produced by Media Res Studio and distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
In other distribution news,Incredible Film has reached a deal with UK-based Tull Stories for the distribution of the dutch-English feature The North across the UK and Ireland. The film follows two friends, chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pulido), on a 600-kilometer hike through the Scottish Highlands, hoping to rekindle their friendship. Incredible Film has also added Men at Work: Back in Business and Wild Heart to its slate. “We are continuing to expand our slate of bold, distinctive stories that travel. At the Dinard British & Irish Film Festival, dragonfly by Paul Andrew Williams took the top award.Additional winners included The Damned by Thordur Palsson, receiving the Barrière Jury Prize; Harry Lawtey, named Best Actor for Mr. Burton; and Mr. Burton also winning the Audience Award.Lillipop by Daisy-May Hudson earned the ouest-France Talent of Tomorrow Award, while Run Like we by Rhys Aaron Lewis claimed the shortcuts Audience Ciné+ OCS award.
