Sugar Prices: Pakistan Tender Sees $533/Ton Offer

Pakistan Receives Initial Bids​ in 100,000 Tonne Sugar Tender

Hamburg, germany – October ‌7, 2025 – Pakistan’s Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP)⁤ has received initial bids in it’s international tender to ‌purchase 100,000 tonnes of sugar, according to European traders.The lowest price‍ offered ⁤in the tender, which closed Monday, is currently ⁢assessed at⁢ $533​ per tonne, ‌cost and freight (c&f)⁢ included.

While offers are⁢ still under consideration and no purchase has been finalized, the ‍TCP is expected⁤ to⁢ engage ⁤in negotiations‍ over the coming⁣ days⁣ before making a final decision.

The tender calls for⁤ small/fine or medium grade sugar,as part of ongoing‌ efforts to bolster domestic supplies ‍and stabilize local sugar prices. ⁢ All sugar⁤ is expected to arrive in ‌Pakistan by November 15th.

Trading⁤ house ED&F Man submitted the lowest bid, offering‌ 29,500 tonnes of small grade sugar at the ⁣$533/tonne⁤ c&f price point. ⁤⁣ The company ​also offered‍ $549 a tonne c&f for an additional 25,000 tonnes of small grade sugar. Two other trading houses also participated in ‍the bidding process.
