Zero Motorcycles aims to Revitalize Off-Road Riding with Electric Models
MADRID, SPAIN – Zero Motorcycles is positioning its XB and XE models as a solution to re-enable motorcycle access to rural environments, offering a sustainable and quiet choice for off-road enthusiasts. Teh company believes electric motorcycles can overcome increasing restrictions on conventional combustion engine use in natural areas.
These new models aim to bridge a gap in the market, offering functionality beyond typical “offroad” motorcycles at competitive price points. The XB,categorized as a cyclomotor, starts at €4,680,while the XE,equivalent to a 125cc,is priced at €6,770. Both feature a full-LED lighting system, traction control, a tilt sensor that cuts engine current during falls, hill control, and cruise control.
The XB and XE differ in wheel size, impacting handling. The XB utilizes 19-inch wheels on both axles for “living handling,” while the XE adopts a more traditional 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup. The XE’s rear shock absorber features a connecting system directly anchored to the swingarm. Zero emphasizes that these motorcycles produce zero emissions and operate silently, addressing environmental concerns and potential access limitations in sensitive areas.
