Rieti Sports Clubs Unite to Introduce Rugby to Young Athletes
Rieti, Italy – October 10, 2024 - A new collaboration is set to broaden sporting horizons for young athletes in Rieti, Italy. ASD Atletica Sport therapy Rieti and ASD Arieti Rugby Rieti 2014 have officially signed a partnership agreement for the current sports year, aiming to integrate rugby training into the athletics program.
The initiative, driven by a shared commitment to inclusive sports participation, will see qualified rugby instructors from ASD Arieti Rugby Rieti 2014 begin training sessions for children involved with ASD Atletica Sport therapy every wednesday. The goal is to introduce the sport and its benefits to a wider range of young people.
“Let’s do the network,” encapsulates the spirit of this collaboration, according to representatives from both organizations. the partnership seeks to leverage the strengths of each club to enhance the overall well-being of the athletes involved.
Training will initially take place indoors during the winter months.As spring arrives, sessions will move to the “Fulvio Iacoboni” rugby field, providing opportunities for interaction between the rugby and athletics club members. shared events and training days are planned, with a particular focus on inclusivity through collaboration with Special Olympics, to which both clubs are affiliated.
Adriana Catini, President of ASD Atletica Sport therapy Rieti, and Nicola Iacoboni, President of ASD Arieti Rugby Rieti 2014, jointly expressed their optimism about the venture. “We are sure that this pact will bear fruit and it will be an added value for both companies,” stated the presidents. “We have put our mutual commitment in writing to collaborate with a single objective: the psycho-physical well-being of the boys and the creation of as many occasions as possible for socialization and fun. The rugbistic ‘third time’ ritual will certainly be of great help.”
The program officially commenced on Wednesday, October 8th, with both clubs reporting a high level of enthusiasm and a shared desire to foster a positive and engaging sporting surroundings for the young athletes.
