Taylor Swift Unveils Lyrics From Upcoming Album ‘Teh Life of a Showgirl’ in Global Campaign
Taylor Swift is building anticipation for her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, set to release October 3, with a multi-faceted promotional campaign that includes a Spotify pop-up experience and a worldwide lyric reveal. The pop star teased fans with phrases from the album appearing on mirrors, banners, and billboards in cities globally, alongside cryptic online hints. Lyrics shared include “Oftentimes it doesn’t feel so glamorous to be me” and “Everyone’s unbothered ’til they’re not.”
Beyond the lyric campaign, it’s been revealed that Swift’s song “Father Figure” will interpolate george Michael’s 1988 hit of the same name. The 14-time Grammy winner also has a series of promotional events scheduled around the album’s launch. These include The Release Party of a Showgirl film events at AMC theaters over the weekend and appearances on The Graham Norton Show, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy fallon, and Late night With Seth Meyers.
