Emmerdale is bracing for dramatic scenes as the return of Kev, Robert Sugden’s abuser, ignites a volatile chain of events for Aaron Dingle and Robert himself. Stars Danny Miller (Aaron) and Robert Sugden have revealed Kev’s reappearance will trigger “explosive” confrontations and deeply unsettling flashbacks for their characters.
The storyline revisits a harrowing period in Robert and Aaron’s past, when Robert was subjected too abuse at the hands of Kev. Kev’s return threatens to unravel the fragile peace Aaron has found and forces Robert to confront long-buried trauma. Miller described the upcoming episodes as “really intense,” hinting at a significant impact on aaron’s mental health and relationship with Robert.”It’s going to be really explosive, actually,” Miller shared. “It’s going to bring up a lot of stuff for Aaron, and it’s going to be really arduous for him to deal with.” The actors emphasized the storyline’s importance in highlighting the lasting effects of abuse and the challenges faced by survivors.Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
