HavanaS “La Cuevita” Market Undergoes Major Renovation
havana, Cuba – September 28, 2025 – A significant revitalization project is underway at the monterrey marketing area, commonly known as “La Cuevita,” aiming to modernize the popular commercial hub and boost economic activity. The renovations, announced today, will focus on infrastructure improvements designed to benefit both vendors and customers.

According to Alberto Zamora Torres, Mayor of San Miguel del Padrón, the 30-day renovation will include beautification efforts, painting, roofing for vendor stalls, and repairs to surrounding areas. “The works seek to optimize the conditions of the space, facilitate the work of the sellers and offer customers a safer, comfortable and functional environment,” Zamora Torres stated.
The improvements are expected to not only renew the market’s physical infrastructure but also guarantee greater safety and efficiency for merchants and visitors.
