Nîmes convention Expands to⁤ Showcase Rising Japanese Culture Talent

Nîmes,France – ‌La Japanonymes,the regional hub ⁤for manga and Japanese‌ culture enthusiasts,returns to Nîmes this ⁣weekend with‌ a considerably⁢ expanded event,doubling in ⁣size and featuring a record 43 exhibitors. The convention, taking place October 4th and 5th at the Domaine HastaLuego‌ (940 chemin de ‍Florival), promises a vibrant celebration⁣ of‌ Japanese arts, entertainment, and cuisine.

This⁣ year’s Japanonymes aims to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere‌ for both seasoned fans and newcomers, with a‍ particular focus on showcasing emerging⁢ creators. “With a lot‌ of​ young creators,” notes organizer Julie⁢ Orlhac, the event prioritizes exchange⁣ and proximity over the scale of larger conventions, fostering a “family​ ambiance.” Attendees can expect to discover illustrators,⁢ tattoo artists, ⁣jewelry⁤ designers,‍ home décor artisans, ‍katana vendors, and fashion accessory creators.

The weekend’s schedule is packed with diverse activities. Music lovers can enjoy⁢ J-pop and K-pop ⁤dance sessions,​ while photographers can visit​ the Fokuza studio. Interactive workshops⁤ will ‍include lightsaber training and Lego® ‌building. A selection of⁢ food trucks will offer a taste of authentic Asian ‍flavors.

La Japanonymes will also host a lineup of special guests. Voice actress​ Claire Guyot, known ⁣as‍ the French voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid and a contributor to the Bad Girl anime, will present a conference detailing ⁣her career and participate in a dubbing⁢ exhibition. Cosplay enthusiast Vilina Cosplay, a finalist​ in the French Cosplay Cup, will ⁣share her ‍expertise⁣ through ‍a conference and a foam crafting workshop. Manga artist Kurogami ⁣will present ⁣his debut work, ⁣ Soul’s Control, published by ADH éditions, and author Drake Manakete will introduce his new ⁤saga,⁤ Malaria.Musical performances include ⁣a Disney song reprise by Crazy Mareen and a metal rendition of ⁣classic ⁣anime themes by Secret Zero.

Event⁣ hours are 10:00 AM⁤ to 8:00 PM ‌on‍ Saturday, October 4th (with an evening event at Relaod Gaming‌ Bar, 11 Grand’Rue) and 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday,‌ October 5th.
