Anderlecht Midfielder Majeed Ashimeru linked with Russian Club FK Krasnodar
Brussels,Belgium – Majeed Ashimeru, currently sidelined in Anderlecht’s B-team,is attracting interest from Russian Premier League side FK Krasnodar and could be transferred during the January transfer window, according to reports from AfricaFoot. this potential move offers Anderlecht an prospect to offload a player who has fallen out of favor and free up resources for further squad adjustments.
Anderlecht CEO Tim Borget recently stated the club had attempted to negotiate departures for Ashimeru, along with Thomas Foket, Mats Rits, and Alexis Flips, but the players initially declined. “We have done everything we could to separate in a constructive way, but those players decided differently. For the time being we are dragging those contracts until January,” Borget said. Ashimeru, 27, has a current market value of €1.5 million, according to Transfermarkt, tho his value has previously been estimated at more than double that amount.
The Ghanaian midfielder has not featured in Anderlecht’s first-team plans and has been training with the reserves alongside Flips and Foket. A transfer to FK Krasnodar would represent a potential exit for Ashimeru and a step towards Anderlecht streamlining its squad.
