Seoul showcases Hong Kong Fashion Talent in ‘LOCAL POWER 2025’ Exhibition
SEOUL,SOUTH KOREA – September 30,2025 – hong kong’s fashion industry is taking center stage in Seoul with the launch of “LOCAL POWER 2025 Hong Kong Fashion in Seoul,” an exhibition and series of events running from September 28 to October 11,2025. Organized by the Asian New Generation Creativity Design Association and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Progress Agency (CCIDA) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the initiative is a key component of “Hong Kong Week 2025@Seoul.”
A fashion show on September 27, 2025, in Seongsu-dong, Seoul’s design district, officially opened the event, drawing leading figures from the Korean fashion industry and dignitaries from Hong kong. Attendees included Guest-of-Honor Rosanna Law, JP, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Dorian Ho, event planner and Founding Chairman of the Asian new Generation Creativity Design Association; Vivian Sum, JP, Permanent Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the HKSAR Government; Lowell Cho, Acting Commissioner for cultural and Creative Industries of the HKSAR Government; and Winsome Au, Principal Hong Kong Economic and Trade Representative, Tokyo.
The exhibition features 35 designs, encompassing work from five prominent Korean designers and 30 emerging designers and brands from the Greater Bay Area. An “Interactive Cultural Exchange Zone” allows visitors to create custom T-shirt designs using Hong Kong and Korean symbolic motifs.
“LOCAL POWER 2025” aims to highlight Hong Kong’s unique fashion identity and foster collaboration between Hong Kong and Korea. The exhibition is open to the public free of charge at 20 Seongsui-ro 18-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, Monday to Friday from 13:00 – 20:00, and Saturday to sunday from 12:00 – 20:00.
