Dolly Parton Postpones Las vegas Residency to Address Health Concerns
Country music icon dolly Parton has announced the postponement of her upcoming Las Vegas concert residency, “Dolly: live in Las Vegas,” due to health issues requiring medical procedures. The announcement, made via social media, comes as Parton prepares for her first string of shows since concluding her “Pure & Simple” tour in 2016.
The six-show residency, originally scheduled for December 4-13 at Caesars Palace, will now be rescheduled for September 2026. Parton explained she needs time to recover and properly prepare a show that meets her standards and those of her fans. This postponement impacts ticket holders and fans eagerly anticipating her return to the stage in Las Vegas.
“I wont the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” Parton wrote. ”As manny of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.” She jokingly referred to the need for procedures as a ”100,000-mile check-up,” but emphasized her commitment to delivering a high-quality performance.
Parton assured fans she has no plans to retire, stating, “While I’ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say…God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”
The “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” residency was billed as a “hit-driven concert event,” promising a showcase of Parton’s extensive catalog of beloved songs. Further details regarding rescheduled dates and ticket information will be released at a later time.
