Liverpool’s “Nocturna” Sale Set to Launch This Week
Mexico City - Liverpool, one of Mexico’s oldest and most recognized department stores, will kick off its annual “nocturna” sale event this week, offering discounts across a wide range of products. The sale is a key event for the retailer, attracting a significant portion of its customer base – especially millennials (39%) and Generation Z (32%) – who value authenticity, reliability, and honesty in their online purchases.
Liverpool’s “Nocturna” sale builds upon a strong first quarter for the company in 2023,which saw total income increase by 16.5% and a net profit of 2,143 million pesos. The event also aims to capitalize on the retailer’s established loyalty; 84% of Liverpool customers report they woudl choose the store again, making it the second most loyal brand in Mexico.
Customers can enhance their savings by utilizing either a Liverpool or Suburbia credit card, gaining access to exclusive promotions. As of the latest data, Liverpool boasts 5.3 million credit card holders, while Suburbia has 1.4 million. Tho, benefits are also available for those paying with other credit or debit cards, or even cash.
Founded in 1847, liverpool currently operates 124 stores under the Liverpool brand and 179 under the Suburbia banner, encompassing a combined 2,428,712 square meters of sales area. The company also reported a 23.2% growth in its credit portfolio and a cash balance of 18,539 million pesos as of March 31, 2023. Deliveries in two days or less have also increased by 35%.
