CORVALLIS – The West Coast Conference unveiled its weekly men’s basketball matchups Friday, setting the stage for oregon State’s 18-game conference schedule beginning December 28th. The proclamation comes as the WCC implements a new scheduling format designed to increase national television exposure for its programs.
Oregon State will open WCC play at home against Santa Clara, initiating a schedule that prioritizes Wednesday and Saturday contests while maintaining adaptability for broadcasts on additional days. This shift aims to showcase the conference’s talent on a broader platform through partnerships with ESPN and CBS Sports network, with a potential for games played on as many as five days a week after the initial three weeks of competition.
The new WCC format features weekday games on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, and weekend games on Saturdays or Sundays.Complete game dates and broadcast details will be released this fall following national television selections. Oregon state previously announced its non-conference schedule earlier this summer.
