5 Seconds of Summer Announces Surprise Los Angeles Concert
LOS ANGELES, CA – Pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer will perform a surprise concert this evening at The Jazz Room in Los Angeles, the group announced today. The intimate show follows the reveal of their sixth studio album, EVERYONE’S A STAR!, set for release on November 14.
The announcement arrives as the band leans back into the raw, unfiltered songwriting that defined their early career. According to leader luke Hemmings, each member of the four-person group possesses the talent to independently create full albums, handling all aspects of composition, performance, adn production. “EVERYONE’S A STAR! embodies all of this,” hemmings stated. “We were adolescents at the beginning of 5 Seconds of Summer. We wrote wiht more naivety, but we said what we thought. Over time, we tend to be a little more prudent on what we say, but I think that this album contains more of our original spirit, but with 15 years of wisdom and a pinch of carefree abandonment.”
