Tencent Announces “Animula Nook,” a Cozy Life Simulation Game

[CITY,STATE] – [DATE] – Tencent is entering the life simulation genre with Animula Nook,a new game drawing inspiration from titles like Animal Crossing and It Takes Two. Developed by lillilandia Games, a subsidiary of Tencent, Animula Nook places players in a fantastical world inhabited by Lilliputians, where everyday human objects become vast landscapes and resources.

The game focuses on coziness and creativity, allowing players to personalize their homes with modular construction and extensive character customization. Players can gather resources from the “giant” world around them – water droplets, breezes, and discarded items – to craft, build, and cultivate.

Animula Nook also features social elements reminiscent of Disney Dreamlight Valley, enabling players to forge relationships with Lilliputian inhabitants, learn their stories, and invite them to live in their homes. Online multiplayer functionality is also planned.

“Sketch construction plans, dismantle objects in modular components and let your imagination come to life with ease,” developers stated regarding the game’s building mechanics.

Animula Nook is currently in development for PC,PlayStation 5,and Nintendo Switch 2,with a release date yet to be announced.
