Tons of Rock Festival Sees Record-Breaking Pre-Sale After Announcing Major Headliners
Oslo, Norway – The Tons of Rock festival, held annually at Ekebergsletta, is reporting an unprecedented surge in ticket sales following this week’s announcement of its 2024 lineup. headlined by iconic acts like Iron Maiden and Bring Me the Horizon, alongside rock legends Alice Cooper and Twisted Sister, the festival is billing this year’s artist roster as its largest to date.
The festival’s pre-sale, exclusively for newsletter subscribers, launched at 10:00 AM on Wednesday and fully sold out within eight hours, according to organizers who spoke wiht TV 2.
“It’s absolutely spinning!” exclaimed Jarle Kvåle, General Manager of Tons of Rock. “For the past two years we have welcomed 150,000 visitors annually, selling out festival passes well in advance. Now we’ve set a new record – this year’s sale is already several months ahead of previous years. Today’s pre-sale tickets were incredibly popular.”
While Kvåle declined to disclose the total number of tickets available for the pre-sale, he attributed the rapid sell-out to the festival’s decision to announce headliners earlier than in previous years.
“The festival is built with the fans,” Kvåle stated. “Delivering some of the world’s greatest artists on the first release has generated an explosive response – and the ticket sales confirm that we are delivering on the audience’s expectations.”
Regular ticket sales are scheduled to begin on Thursday. Fans hoping to attend are encouraged to purchase tickets promptly, given the record-breaking demand.
