Boston Mountains to Host Inaugural Old Friend Farms Music Festival
A new music festival is taking root in teh Boston Mountains, promising not only a weekend of entertainment but also a blossoming community hub. Old Friend Farms will host its first festival September 25-28, bringing together musicians and attendees with a shared vision for connection and collaboration.
Located in the Ozark Mountains, Old friend Farms is intentionally cultivating a space where community engagement is central. Founders Dana Louise and Noah Richmond envision the farm as more than just a venue; they aim to foster lasting relationships and shared ownership through events like monthly community trail days. “We’re really just trying to build our community up as strong as we can, because we believe in the community and believe in the power of people just getting together with similar values and similar goals and seeing what happens and what comes out of it,” Richmond saeid.
The trail days, held roughly once a month, have been instrumental in preparing the farm for the festival and have already yielded unexpected benefits. “We’ve had new friendships blossom out of that and really found our community,” Richmond noted. Louise added that the growing community is already taking initiative, proposing workshops and events to be held on the property later this fall and into next spring.
