Nebraska Volleyball Remains No. 1 in AVCA Poll, Loses First-Place Vote to Texas

Nebraska Volleyball Holds⁤ No. 1 Ranking, Texas Gains Top Vote in⁣ AVCA ⁣Poll

LINCOLN,⁣ Neb. – The Nebraska ⁤Cornhuskers remain atop the AVCA Top⁢ 25 Coaches Poll,⁢ but saw their unanimous hold on⁤ the No. 1 ranking broken this‍ week as Texas received‍ the first-place vote. The Huskers (57 points) continue to lead the nation, maintaining their ⁢position after a strong start‍ to the season.

The shift in voting reflects ⁤the competitive landscape⁣ of collegiate volleyball as Nebraska prepares to begin Big ten Conference play. The huskers will face RV Michigan at home on Wednesday ‌at 6 p.m. CDT,followed by a⁤ Saturday match against Maryland at 3 p.m. ‍CDT. A challenging road test ​awaits them⁣ on⁢ Friday, Oct. 3, at No. 15 Penn State ⁤in University Park, Pa.These upcoming contests will⁣ be crucial as Nebraska‍ navigates a‍ demanding conference schedule and⁣ aims to defend its No. 1 ranking.
