Nevada County Receives State ‘Prohousing‘ Designation, Primed for increased Housing Funding
Nevada City, Calif. – Nevada County has earned a coveted ‘Prohousing’ designation from the California Department of Housing and Community Advancement, recognizing the county’s proactive steps to address the state’s housing crisis. Recent initiatives include establishing housing and homelessness as key Board objectives, streamlining regulations for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) – such as tiny houses and in-law units – and approving tiny houses on wheels as a viable permanent housing option.
