Gaza Residents Report terror as Israeli Military Employs explosive Robots
Gaza City – Residents of Gaza City are reporting widespread fear and displacement as the Israeli military increasingly utilizes explosive robots in its operations, a tactic described by Palestinian health officials as a direct threat to civilian lives. The first documented instance of the tactic’s impact included a resident reporting a red sky and a strong lightning strike inside a house, indicative of the intensity of the explosions.
The Israeli military confirmed employing “various means, including very innovative, and very qualitative” methods to target “Hamas terrorists” and protect both Israeli soldiers and civilians, declining to detail specific operational procedures.
Though, Dr. Munir Al-Barash, Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, stated the Israeli army is now relying on these explosive robots on a daily basis. He reports the robots carry up to seven tons of explosives, wiht seven to ten deployed daily across different neighborhoods of Gaza City, triggering notable waves of displacement.
“All the inhabitants of East Gaza were forced to go to the west of the city,” Dr. Al-Barash stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter), “which raised the population density to about 60 thousand people per square kilometer.” He warned that continued use of the robots will lead to “collective massacres” and the extensive destruction of residential areas, exacerbated by the ongoing siege and limited rescue capabilities. He characterized the targeting of civilians as “daily and systematic.”
reports of large explosions have extended beyond Gaza City, with residents near Rafah, located 40 km south, reporting hearing blasts. Israeli media, including the Yisrael Hume newspaper, has reported a “violent attack” in Gaza City, with explosions felt as far away as Tel Aviv, approximately 70 km from Gaza.
