Silvina Luna‘s Death Caused by Sepsis Following Foreign Body Reaction, New Report Reveals
Buenos Aires – A newly released expert report has determined that Argentine model adn actress Silvina Luna died from a pulmonary thromboembolism caused by sepsis originating from a gigantocellular granulomatous disease triggered by a foreign body, her lawyer, Fernando Burlando, announced today.
The findings offer crucial insight into the circumstances surrounding Luna’s death, which occurred earlier this year after a prolonged health battle. According to Burlando,the forensic medical analysis provides “a lot of peace of mind,” despite the facts not being available during the prior trial involving Dr. Aníbal Lotocki. “Justice maintained its course,although the process was very slow,” he stated in an interview with Mariana’s Newspaper (América TV).
The report also revealed discrepancies regarding the substance Lotocki allegedly used on Luna. Burlando emphasized that the material discovered within Luna’s body was an “industrial product,” differing from what Lotocki had claimed to use in his patients. He further noted that, irrespective of the quantity used, “Silvina’s volume in her body was such that it made it difficult to move.”
Despite the conclusive link between the prior injuries inflicted by Lotocki and Luna’s death, legal recourse may be limited. Journalist Martín Candalaft explained that Lotocki has already been convicted of causing serious injuries,precluding a new investigation for homicide. “It can be demonstrated that these injuries resulted in Silvina’s death,but legally you cannot open a new cause due to homicide,” Candalaft clarified.
Lotocki was previously found guilty of administering hazardous substances to Luna and other patients, leading to severe health complications. the new report solidifies the understanding of the medical events that ultimately led to Luna’s tragic passing.
