Plane Crash in Oxford: 2 Airlifted to Hospital

Two airlifted⁢ to Hospital⁤ After Plane Crash in Oxford

A small jet crashed Thursday ‍afternoon ⁣at the ‌University-Oxford Airport after attempting takeoff, according​ to reports from the ⁤ Oxford Eagle. The incident occurred just before 1:15 p.m.

Two individuals aboard the aircraft were airlifted to Regional one Hospital‍ in Memphis for treatment,the Ole ⁣Miss⁣ communications department⁣ confirmed. Hospital Wing of Oxford, an air medical services provider, responded to the scene at approximately 1:30 p.m. adn arrived at the Memphis ⁤hospital shortly before ‌2 p.m. The condition of those injured ⁤is currently unknown.

The National Transportation Safety‍ Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Governance (FAA) will investigate the ‌cause of the crash. The University-Oxford Airport has suspended operations for the remainder of the ⁢day. ⁢
