Boekestijn Transport Service Rebrands as Egala,Sjef Boekestijn Named CEO
ROTTERDAM,Netherlands – Boekestijn Transport Service has unveiled a new brand identity,Egala,for its trucking division,alongside teh appointment of Sjef Boekestijn as Chief Executive Officer. The move signals a strategic shift for the family-owned business, aiming to solidify its position in the European transport market and build a foundation for continued growth.
Boekestijn succeeds his uncle, with whom he previously served as COO, marking a generational transition in leadership. The company operates internationally across Europe and maintains national operations in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Poland, serving customers, employees, partners, and suppliers. Egala’s daily management will be led by a Board of Directors comprised of Sjef Boekestijn, Iwona Rymarmek, Thomas Piechnik, Anna Balbierz, and Henk-Jan van der Molen.

To further strengthen its leadership structure, anna Balbierz has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and founder Peter Boekestijn will transition to the supervisory Board. the rebranding and leadership changes are designed to reinforce a unified vision across the company’s operations.
“With two complementary companies under one vision, we are further building a solid basis for growth and continuity,” boekestijn stated. The company’s transport activities will continue to operate under the name Boekestijn Transport Service, alongside the Egala trucking brand.
