Epic Universe Death: Roller Coaster Incident in Orlando

Orlando, FL – A ‌visitor died Wednesday at Worldwide’s Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida,⁢ after experiencing a roller coaster ride, according to a statement from ​park officials.

The guest, ‌whose identity has not ⁤been released, became unresponsive while on Stardust Racers, a spokesperson for Universal confirmed. ⁢orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies⁣ who ‌were off-duty at the park discovered ‌a man in his 30s on the ‌ride and transported him⁣ to a local hospital, where ⁤he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death remains undetermined. The District Nine Medical Examiner’s Office⁣ has⁤ taken custody ​of the body and will conduct ‍an⁣ examination.

Stardust Racers is currently closed while the Sheriff’s Office investigates the ⁤incident, with universal cooperating ‍fully‍ with authorities.NBCUniversal ‍representatives have‌ not yet responded to requests ⁣for comment.

“We are devastated by​ this tragic event and extend our ⁢sincerest sympathies to the ⁣guest’s loved ones,” the ⁤Universal spokesperson stated.

Epic Universe, which opened in may, features several ‌new themed ​areas⁤ including Nintendo World and The ⁣Wizarding World of Harry potter – Ministry⁣ of Magic.
