The NCIS spinoff tony & Ziva debuted strongly on Paramount+, landing at No. 7 on luminate’s weekly Top 10 streaming series chart, according to data released this week. The series’ impressive start coincides wiht a successful launch for The Paper on NBCUniversal’s platform, which secured the No. 3 spot.
Luminate’s data, covering the period of September 5-11, reveals a competitive streaming landscape where both new releases and established hits vie for audience attention. Tony & Ziva achieved 6.8 million hours viewed with four of its ten episodes available during the measurement period, while The Paper garnered 9.3 million hours viewed across all ten episodes.
Prior to its premiere, Tony & ziva generated significant buzz, with its trailer breaking the NCIS franchise record for most views in a week, amassing 93 million views. The Paper benefited from NBCUniversal’s decision to release all episodes simultaneously, a strategy that encouraged extended viewing.
Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 led the chart with over 30 million hours viewed, followed by My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 at 9.6 million hours. Other series rounding out the Top 10 included aka Charlie Sheen (4.6M hours), Love Con Revenge, Terminal List: Dark Wolf, Season 3 of The summer I Turned Pretty, and The Hunting Wives.
