City Council Backs Project Man’s III Solidarity Lyric Gala at Villamarta Theatre
The Jerez de la Frontera City Council is supporting the upcoming III Solidarity Lyric Gala hosted by ‘Project Man’, a local organization dedicated to supporting at-risk youth. The gala will take place on October 9th at the Villamarta Theater, and aims to raise crucial funds for the organization’s Young Project program.
Social Inclusion delegate, Yessika Quintero, presented the event alongside Luis Bononato, president of ‘Project Man’, emphasizing the importance of community support. Volunteers Ignacio Luna, Riqui Velarde, and Manuel Parra - the artist behind the gala’s poster – were also present at the announcement.
The gala will feature performances by Mariola Cantarero, Juana Castillo, Javier Franco, and antonio Vázquez, accompanied by Antonio López on piano. Organizers highlight the event as a way to leverage culture to benefit a vital social cause.
“We have the possibility to demonstrate once again that we are a solidarity, committed city, and that it responds when it is necessary,” stated Delegate Quintero, linking the event to Jerez’s Capital candidacy for 2031.
Tickets are available at the Villamarta Theater box office, the ‘Project Man’ headquarters, and through Tickentradas. Donations can also be made via Row Zero (account number ES31 2100 8522 2622 0057 4910) or through Bizum. The gala receives additional support from Montesierra.
According to Bononato, all funds raised will directly benefit the Young Project, which provides support to more than 90 minors and adolescents, and their families, aged 12-21, facing challenges such as behavioral problems, risk factors, antisocial behaviors, substance use, excessive screen time, and gambling addiction. ‘Project Man’ assisted this many individuals throughout 2024 alone.
