Serio Waterfalls Captivate Over 2,000 Spectators with Musical Accompaniment
Valbondione, Italy – A breathtaking display of nature’s power, enhanced by live jazz music, drew over 2,000 visitors to the Serio waterfalls on Sunday, September 14th, as the Barbellino dam released water in a breathtaking triple cascade.The event, meticulously tracked by valley ticket sales, offered a unique experience for hikers and nature enthusiasts alike.
The penultimate dam opening of the season wasn’t solely a visual spectacle. The Nicholas Lecchi trio performed a jazz concert near the Florentistic Floro Observatory, creating an immersive atmosphere as the cascading water roared. many attendees extended their visit to the nearby Maslana, enjoying a conventional Borgo Feast organized by the Promaslana Consortium, featuring local products and a midday mass at noon.
The controlled release of water from the Barbellino dam is a seasonal event designed to maintain the ecological health of the serio river and provide a stunning natural display. This year’s addition of live music elevated the experience, attracting a larger-than-expected crowd.
The final dam opening for the season is scheduled for Sunday, October 12th.
