Robert Pattinson Received ‘The Batman Part II’ Script in a Locked Pouch, ‘the Penguin‘ Season 2 Under Discussion
Director Matt Reeves revealed to Variety that Robert Pattinson has read the script for “The Batman Part II,” delivered in a high-security, locked pouch. Shooting is slated to begin in spring 2025,likely around the end of April or beginning of May,nearly four years after the original film’s 2022 release.
The extreme security measures underscore the intense anticipation surrounding the sequel. Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin have completed the script and begun sharing it with Pattinson, whom Reeves trusts implicitly. “We really trust Rob, because he’s the best,” Reeves said.
Reeves also discussed HBO’s “The Penguin,” an eight-episode series serving as a continuation of “The batman” universe, which has garnered 24 Emmy nominations. Though initially conceived as a limited series, a second season is now being considered. “we’re in discussions. [Showrunner] Lauren [Lefranc] is thinking hard and we’re talking, so we’ll see,” Reeves stated. “We love the show, and we think our cast is so incredible. The work that Lauren and the writers did was incredible. Our passion was in it, but never in our wildest dreams could we imagine it would have been received in the way that it was.”
