Ghost of‌ Tsushima Fans: Sapporo‌ Beer Collaboration Offers In-Game ‌Reward

Tokyo,Japan – Fans anticipating the 2025 release of Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima sequel,now‍ known‌ as‌ ghost of Yotei,have a new reason to raise a glass. Japanese beer brand Sapporo ⁣is partnering ⁣with Sony to release limited-edition‍ ghost of⁣ Yotei-themed beer packaging, offering players an exclusive in-game item.

The collaboration, announced in recent days, features standard Sapporo ⁣beer​ sold in specially designed packaging. while⁢ currently slated for ‍distribution only in Japan and the United States,each ‍pack will include a QR code.Scanning this code ⁣and⁣ linking a playstation account will unlock ‍the “Amuleto di Hokkaidokusei” (Hokkaidokusei Amulet) for‌ use within the game. ​

According to player.it, the amulet features⁢ the⁣ sapporo beer⁢ logo and ⁣provides a minor in-game benefit: “a small possibility of not consuming distance weapons ammunition ‌if equipped.”

The partnership also carries ⁤a subtle historical nod. ‌Beer was reportedly ‍introduced to Japan by Europeans during the 17th century, coinciding with⁤ the arrival ⁤of firearms.​ Ghost of ‌Yotei ⁤is set in 1603, making ​the collaboration a⁢ (nearly) ‍historically accurate ​detail, as noted by sources cited in the original report.

This isn’t the first time video ⁤games have ​crossed over ​with ⁤the beverage industry. Borderlands ‌4 recently collaborated ‍with American beer ‌brand⁤ Voodoo Ranger, offering a chance to win a free copy of the‍ game.

Ghost of Yotei is scheduled for release‌ on PlayStation 5 ‍on October 2, 2025.
