LONDON – Yokohama Rubber has secured a partnership to become the official tire supplier for Extreme H, the hydrogen-powered off-road racing series spun off from Extreme E. The agreement, announced today, will see Yokohama provide tires for the inaugural Extreme H world Cup in 2025 and beyond.
The collaboration arrives as Extreme H accelerates its transition from electric to hydrogen power, following the cancellation of the remainder of its 2024 Extreme E season to focus on the shift. Originally slated to become an official FIA world championship in 2026, the series will now launch as the Extreme H World Cup in 2025, showcasing the viability of hydrogen as a clean energy solution in motorsports.
