Watch Them Grow: Animal Development Book Launch in Marquette

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Children in Marquette gained a‌ captivating glimpse into the animal kingdom Saturday,learning about the progress of creatures⁤ before birth at the peter White public Library.

Author Carrie Pearson​ launched her new book, Watch Them Grow, at the library, sharing⁤ insights into ⁤the gestation process of various animals. The book,geared towards children ages 9 to⁤ 12,details the formation of⁢ key features in ⁤12 different species.

“I wanted to just be able to‌ share what’s⁢ going ⁤on in there,” Pearson explained. “the book looks at 12 different animals, and we‌ get to learn how wings⁤ are formed‍ in a bat, and whiskers in a mouse, how shark teeth are⁤ formed before they’re born.”

Pearson noted that the internal development‍ of animals is frequently enough unseen and under-discussed. Watch them Grow aims to fill that knowledge ​gap, even educating the author herself during the writing process.
