Bristol, TN ​- William byron secured ‌the pole‍ position for Saturday’s Bass Pro Night Race at Bristol ⁣Motor Speedway, clocking a speed of 125.856 mph during ⁢NASCAR Cup ⁤Series qualifying. ‍The Hendrick Motorsports driver will lead the field to​ green in the final race of the regular season, setting the stage⁢ for a crucial‌ night as drivers battle for the final playoff spots.

this qualifying session is particularly notable as ​it ⁣determines the starting grid for the last event before the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. Sixteen drivers‌ have already secured their positions based on wins, but several contenders are still‌ vying for the remaining playoff berths based on ⁤points. The Bass Pro Night ‌Race will be pivotal ⁤for those on the bubble, with a potential win guaranteeing a playoff spot.

Joining Byron at‍ the front will be Alex Bowman,also driving a Chevrolet,with a qualifying speed of 125.757 mph. ⁢Chase Elliott, another Chevrolet ⁤driver, qualified third at 125.650 mph. Justin ⁣haley (chevrolet) and Brad⁣ Keselowski (Ford) ⁢rounded out the top ​five with speeds of 125.642 mph and 125.633 ⁤mph, respectively. John Hunter nemechek (Toyota) ​matched Keselowski’s speed.

Further‍ down⁢ the ⁣qualifying order, ryan preece ⁤(Ford) qualified seventh, followed by Chris⁢ Buescher (Ford). Joey Logano (Ford) secured ninth,⁣ and Austin Dillon ⁤(Chevrolet) rounded out the top ten. zane⁤ Smith (Ford) qualified 11th, with Michael McDowell (Chevrolet) ⁤in 12th.Cole Custer (Ford) and‌ Erik Jones (Toyota) qualified 13th and 14th, respectively.

Shane Van Gisbergen (chevrolet)‌ qualified 15th, while⁤ Riley Herbst (Toyota) was 16th. Noah Gragson (Ford) qualified 17th, followed by Kyle Busch ‍(Chevrolet) and Austin Hill (Chevrolet). Cody⁣ Ware (Ford) qualified 21st, with Daniel Suarez (Chevrolet) in⁤ 22nd.Todd ​Gilliland (Ford) ⁢qualified 23rd, Ty Dillon (Chevrolet) 24th, and Corey Heim​ (Toyota) 25th. Chad Finchum (Ford) qualified last with a speed of⁣ 119.522 mph.

The Bass Pro⁢ Night Race is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM ET on ‍Saturday,‌ September 13, 2025. Fans can enjoy pre-race entertainment, including a ‍performance by ‌Chris Janson.
