Tunis, Tunisia – The Director-General of the Arab Institution for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO), Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, met with Tunisian Minister of Education Noureddine Nouri on December 25, 2024, to discuss strengthened collaboration between the organization and the North african nation.
The meeting underscored ALECSO’s commitment to advancing shared educational, cultural, and scientific goals across the Arab world, with Tunisia playing a key role as a host nation and supporter. Discussions centered on current ALECSO initiatives, upcoming events, and opportunities to deepen the partnership with Tunisia’s Ministry of education, impacting regional advancement and educational policy.
During the visit, Dr.Ould Amar expressed gratitude to Minister Nouri and, through him, to the Tunisian government and people for their ongoing support of ALECSO’s mission. This support is vital to ALECSO’s ability to promote collaborative action in education, culture, and science throughout the Arab region.
Preparations for the 14th session of the Conference of Arab Ministers of Education, scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, were also a key topic of conversation. The conference will address critical issues facing education systems across the Arab world and chart a course for future collaboration.
