Móstoles Festivities: Events, David Villa & Security Updates

Móstoles Kicks⁣ Off Festivities Honoring⁤ Our Lady of the‍ Saints and San Simón de Rojas

Móstoles‍ officially began ⁢its annual festivities ‍dedicated⁤ to Our Lady of the Saints and San Simón de Rojas-events recognized ‍as being of regional ⁣tourist ​interest since 2010-with a proclamation delivered by ⁣David Villa and ⁢the chupinazo at 8:30 PM from the Plaza de España. The party ‌was preceded by a⁣ special broadcast from ​ Today Madrid West in the Pradillo Square.

Mayor ⁣Manuel Bautista ⁢highlighted the honour of having Villa​ as ⁤the town’s​ preacher, notably as Móstoles has been ⁤named European Sports ‍City 2026. He ⁤also⁤ emphasized ⁤security as ⁣a primary​ concern ⁢during the festivities, stating, “The​ one who has gone all a ​year, ⁤dose not‍ guarantee that in the next one things will not happen. Being ‌the third parties what you have is⁢ a​ well of experience of previous ones that helps you know what⁤ something happens ⁢if something happens. In addition,⁤ the joy⁣ and the illusion that people have.”

The Today Madrid ⁢West ‍program featured‌ interviews with Juan Miguel‍ López,‍ director of the Móstoles youth band, who⁤ said, “We ​are‍ preparing throughout the year,⁣ today and tomorrow are two very special days.” Members of the band,Maximum and Tamara,performed live on trumpets.Representatives from the Peñas de Móstoles Federation, who⁤ will unveil the ⁤scarf box, stated their commitment to creating new experiences for residents, emphasizing that the ​festivities‌ “are parties that are from everyone and for the entire city ⁤of Móstoles.”

City Council⁤ members including ​Gabriel monteserín (Emergency⁢ and Security), ⁣Cristina Molina (celebrations), ⁤and Ángel Álvarez (Sports)-accompanied​ by Olympic athlete Diana Martín-also appeared⁣ on the program, broadcast from⁣ the Today Madrid West set in Pradillo Square. The Móstoles festivities will continue⁢ through Monday, ⁣September 15.
