FC Twente‘s search for a new head coach continues after René Hake declined an approach from the club. Hake, a former Twente manager, stated he is content at Feyenoord, according to a statement given to tubantia. This rejection follows Erik ten Hag and Mark van Bommel also turning down the position at the Grolsch Veste.Hake emerged as a strong candidate following the departures of Ten Hag and Van bommel. Other names currently being considered for the vacant role in Enschede include Rogier Meijer, Dick Lukkien, and John van den Brom.
Meijer remains with the technical staff at Bayer Leverkusen despite Ten Hag’s exit, while lukkien is currently under contract with FC Groningen. Van den brom is presently unattached after leaving Vitesse and represents the most promptly available option. He previously had a potential appointment at ADO Den Haag last summer blocked by the club’s American owner.
