Arizona State’s Sept. 20 football game at baylor will be televised on FOX as a 4:30 p.m.MST kickoff, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday. The matchup marks the first conference game for both teams and their initial football contest since Arizona State joined the Big 12 in 2024.
Both the Sun Devils (1-1) and the Bears (1-1) are seeking their first conference win after navigating challenging starts to the season. ASU narrowly lost a road game at Mississippi State after a season-opening win against NAU, while Baylor rebounded from a home loss to Auburn with an overtime victory at SMU. The game is significant as both teams attempt to establish momentum heading into the heart of the Big 12 schedule.
Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against SMU,throwing for 440 yards and four touchdowns. Prior to the Baylor game, Arizona State will host Texas State on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. MST, televised on TNT and broadcast on the Arizona Sports app, ESPN 620 AM, and 98.7 FM HD-2.
The two programs have only met once previously,with Arizona State winning 34-13 in 1990. FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff” will also feature two of ASU’s future opponents, Utah and texas Tech, playing in salt Lake City.
