HANOI, Vietnam – Actor Nguyen Minh Duc, born in 1988 in Vinh, Nghe an province, discusses the challenges and rewards of filming “The Haunted Money” and his burgeoning career in a recent interview. Duc revealed the production faced logistical difficulties shooting on location in Cambodia, including securing authorization and navigating difficult roads, leading the team to rely on Vietnamese instant noodles.
Despite the hurdles, Duc emphasized the team’s dedication to delivering a film for the public. He also addressed the trend of young actors achieving fame without formal education, asserting the value of his own schooling in shaping his performances. “Because he applied all the knowledge acquired at school to each character,” Duc stated.
Duc acknowledged his appearance provides advantages but stressed the importance of talent and continuous improvement. He also hinted at a current romantic relationship with a Khmer woman, playfully responding to questions about his love life with, “Currently, Duke is ‘in love’ of a Khmer.”
The actor, who has appeared in films including “Looking out to the Sea,” “13 Female Death Row prisoners,” and “School Violence,” won the MR. Talent Prize in the MR. Hanoi competition for male students. He concluded by stating that the longevity of relationships, even within the entertainment industry, ultimately depends on “Destiny.”
