Sergio Massa: Tigre Election Remarks & Voter Encouragement

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

TIGRE, Argentina – Sergio Massa, leader of the Renovating Front, emphasized the importance of civic participation after ‍voting ‍in Tigre today, stating that “the ⁣exercise of⁣ vote ⁤is the best tool we⁤ have to consolidate ⁢the path we intend⁣ for the country.” He described the start of the provincial ⁤election⁣ as⁤ “very ‍orderly” and “normal.”

Massa highlighted the logistical‍ complexities of ⁢this ⁣election, noting it‌ was the frist provincial vote in a long time and presented a challenge ‌for the 135 municipalities involved. He praised the successful⁢ opening of polling places and the high turnout of table presidents as ‍evidence of a strong societal ⁣commitment to participation.

He⁤ urged residents of Buenos Aires ‌province to exercise their right to vote, encouraging them to bring identification to schools and participate in shaping their future. “It ‌doesn’t ⁤matter who to vote, ‌but do it,” he said.

Massa also‌ pointed out the meaningful weight of Buenos Aires province in national elections, representing nearly 38 percent of Argentina’s voter registry. He acknowledged the unique dynamic of a standalone provincial election, ‍contrasting it with the ‍historical practice of simultaneous provincial and national voting.

Concluding his remarks, ‍Massa expressed confidence in the electoral process, stating, “That has to give us the peace of mind that at 18 [hours] we will have a result that will reflect the opinion, dreams and desire ‍of each of those who live in the province.”
