Two people were hospitalized Saturday following a house fire on San Antonio’s North Side, according to the San Antonio Fire Department. Firefighters responded to the blaze in the 8300 block of Blanco Oak Drive shortly after 11:00 a.m.
The cause of the fire is currently under inquiry. The two individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries; their conditions are currently unknown.This incident underscores the ongoing risk of residential fires and the critical importance of working smoke detectors. KSAT 12 News reported that firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames upon arrival. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and rescue the occupants.
