Norwegian Runner Claims European Record with GPS-Drawn Image
KRISTIANSAND, Norway – A runner in Kristiansand has completed a GPS-tracked run forming a large phallic image at Tangen, prompting discussion and a claim to a european record. The run, completed by Finn Kollstad, involved two laps around the “shaft” with a brief pause in the “testicle area,” according to Norwegian broadcaster NRK Sørlandet.
The feat follows a similar, larger creation earlier this year by the anonymous Stavanger-based “Wanksy,” who reportedly ran a 120-kilometer penis-shaped route in Rogaland, recognized by local newspaper Ra Stavanger as a world record for GPS-drawn penises. While Wanksy’s creation surpassed previous records, Kollstad’s run is now being touted as the largest of its kind in Europe. The phenomenon of “Strava art” – creating images through running routes tracked by the fitness app Strava – is gaining popularity, but Kollstad notes the unique nature of this particular formation. “Here you don’t need to make anything. Here comes the shape of the dick whether you want it or not,” he told NRK.
Wanksy, commenting on Kollstad’s run, expressed the motivation behind creating such images: “I do this as it is indeed fun and because it makes people smile and laugh. Life is too serious sometimes. People take themselves too seriously on social media.” Kollstad concluded his run with a loop towards the city’s beach, playfully referred to as the “scrotum” by other runners.
