Baxter, MN - The Alzheimer’s Association will host its annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s in the Brainerd Lakes Area on September 27, aiming to raise $115,000 to support critical Alzheimer’s research.

The event underscores the increasing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease, which currently affects over 100,000 individuals in Minnesota and an estimated 7 million Americans nationwide. Funds raised through the walk will directly contribute to both research initiatives and educational programs focused on Alzheimer’s.

Ryth emphasized the importance of community involvement, noting the widespread impact of the disease. “Everybody has somebody that they do no that has been dealing with this.And, you know, the push for a cure is really critically important, and research is part of what the Alzheimer’s Association does.”

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held at Forestview Middle School in Baxter. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the walk commencing at 10:00 a.m.
