IMMOKALEE, Fla. – Naples extended its winning streak against Immokalee Friday night,defeating the Indians 56-29 in a high-scoring contest. The Golden Eagles (2-0) built a 21-3 halftime lead fueled by a 40-yard touchdown run from Sam Sparacio, a blocked punt returned for a touchdown, and a 40-yard score by James LaChance.
immokalee (1-1) mounted a third-quarter comeback, capitalizing on a fumble recovery and connecting on an 82-yard touchdown pass from chris Germinal to Marshon Jackson. Aurelio Anzualdo’s subsequent scoop-and-score narrowed the gap to 28-26 midway through the quarter.
Naples responded instantly with a 97-yard kickoff return by Sparacio and proceeded to score four touchdowns in a five-minute span, including rushing touchdowns from LaChance and Jamar Jerome, to regain control.
The Golden Eagles’ defense secured the victory with three interceptions, complementing a dominant offensive performance featuring big plays on the ground and in the return game.
Naples will next host Palmetto ridge, while Immokalee will travel to Golden Gate to regroup.
