North Texas Wildlife Centre to Host Fundraiser at lake Highlands Brewery
LAKE HIGHLANDS – Neighbors can support the North Texas Wildlife Center (NTWC) adn its mission of animal rescue and rehabilitation at a fundraising event from 5-8 p.m. on Sept. 15 at Vector brewing in the Lakeridge Center. The event offers an chance to learn about the center’s work and contribute to its ongoing efforts.
The fundraiser comes after a summer of uncertainty for the NTWC, which faced potential closure due to zoning issues with its Plano facility. A rapid fundraising campaign successfully secured funds for a permanent home in August, ensuring the continuation of vital services for injured and orphaned wildlife. This event, held as part of North Texas Giving Day, aims to further bolster the center’s resources.
Attendees will meet Blossom the Opossum, a permitted educational ambassador representing the NTWC. While Blossom won’t be available for handling, NTWC staff will be present to share information about the organization’s mission and accept donations. The NTWC has a history of community engagement at Vector brewing, previously hosting events featuring Coconut, another opossum ambassador.
The North Texas Wildlife Center provides care for a variety of native Texas animals. More information about the organization and its work can be found at [websiteaddress-[websiteaddress-[websiteaddress-[websiteaddress-not provided in source].
